Pottermore with Harry in Diagon Alley!

Target’s Toy Sale starts in just 3 weeks - 21st July - and how about this Harry Potter Diagon Alley LEGO set, one of over 250 toys exclusive to Target.

July is a great month for Harry Potter fans! Not only can you immerse yourself in Harry Potter’s universe with this LEGO land Diagon Alley build for just $223 in Australia’s Biggest Target Toy Sale  (full price $279), but this month also sees the final unveiling of the Pottermore website. It’s been under wraps for a while (and no, Pottermore is not a new HP movie!). Now it’s ‘all systems go’ for this long-awaited and tantalizing new Harry Potter website, by author J.K. Rowling.

The Pottermore website will definitely have the whole Harry Potter series of books published as ebooks - that much is known. But the exact details of Pottermore as an interactive online world where readers can fully immerse themselves in the world of Harry Potter, are really unknown. J.K. Rowling herself (thought to be the world’s wealthiest woman!) will be there, sharing her Potterverse that she’s been “hoarding for years”.

July 31st is the go-live date for Pottermore - but only the first one million people who successfully `follow the owl’ can enter the site. After joining the site for free, you’ll be able to make comments, upload drawings, and join in things like mixing potions, casting spells and visiting Diagon Alley to interact with Harry Potter’s universe. Pottermore website opens for everyone in October.

Zumba Fitness kit $99.95 from Target!

The hypnotic sound of Zumba is everywhere. Move aside expensive gym memberships, Zumba dance fitness is here.

It’s an exhilarating, easy-to-follow, Latino calorie-burning party that’s dancing millions of Australian’s into a healthy fitness.

It all started by accident - when Zumba creator Beto Perez forgot his aerobics music for the class he was going to teach. Not to disappoint, he improvised with his own music tapes stashed in his backpack (salsa and merengue which Beto grew up with) and they loved it. A new kind of dance fitness was born.

Beto’s brainwave is that the Zumba music moves you, rather than you trying to keep step with it.

So, are you ready to party yourself into shape? The Zumba Fitness Workout is just $99.95 from Target, you get six workouts on 4 DVDs, plus 2 maraca-style toning sticks.

Decor Lunchbox system

Decor Lunchbox system

It’s reassuring to see that Decor has just released a new lunchbox system that’s free from BPA, PVC and phthalates, making them totally safe for using with food. There’s been some concern recently in the media over these substances in plastics - some experts say they may harm our health, especially our kids’.

The Decor lunchbox system is made up of small containers that combine in different ways so that you can serve up an endless array of lunches (for you or the kids) - from fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps and rolls, to last night’s leftovers for reheating in the microwave. There are four sizes of lunchbox, a drink/freeze flask and clip-together cutlery set which packs up neatly in the insulated cooler bag. All the lids are airtight and leak proof - which means school bags/handbags stay clean!  You can buy each item separately and there’s a starter kit so you can try out the system. Target, BIG W, Bunnings, IGA, Coles, K-mart all stock the Decor lunchbox system.

Decor have also made a `big lunch’ insulated cooler bag with a 750ml stainless steel drink bottle, only for sale at Woolworths stores.

Decorators just love white for walls, sofas, cushions, crockery, collectibles - because it plays tricks with the light and makes everything in your home look so much bigger!

Target’s White on white homewares sale starts Thursday 20th January -  white sheets, white quilts, towels, cushions, clocks, crockery, ornaments and photo frames.

Mr Mo t-shirts

Mr Mo t-shirts

Well as you know we here at Lasoo are throwing our support behind the Movember movement, so I just had to write about these Mr Mo t-shirts.

Target will be donating 25% of all retail sales of these t-shirts to the Movember Foundation, so they’re perfect for everyone: whether you’re actively growing a mo and want to advertise the fact, or if you’re not but still want to do something for the cause.

And for $25 each, why not get two?

Target homewares sale

Target homewares sale

Homewares rank right up there with shoes when it comes to things I dream about owning, so it should be no surprise to know I’m all over this week’s Target homewares sale catalogue.

There are always some great buys in these catalogues and to be honest most items look just as good, if not better, than homewares from more expensive retailers.

For $15 each, these Egyptian bath towels are worth checking out. They’re marked down from $20 and are big enough to use at home or at the beach.
