Seeing as I have been stalking the Bureau of Meterology website for the past three months, desperately convincing myself spring is just around the corner, it’s only appropriate that I celebrate the first day of spring with something season-appropriate.

For me, spring and summer should be all about billowy maxi dresses, cocktails at sunset (and sometimes breakfast), days at the beach and other such stuff that I never get around to doing.

This Sheike Venus maxi dress is definitely on my wishlist for the warmer weather. Aside from the gorgeous colour, I also love the flowing chiffon and beaded satin detail at the waist.

Finding work clothes that are both professional and stylish can be something of an uphill battle.

Much corporate attire and suiting can make you feel like the Michelin man, especially during winter when you’re rugged up with 16 layers just to keep warm.

I came across this Sheike Carmen check dress this morning, and it definitely falls into the “work appropriate but still stylish” category. The cut and pattern are also very flattering and slimming.
