Fussy flat gladiator-style sandals of any description aren’t really my “thing”, but I could almost make an exception for these little gems.

The Nine West Dalejr sandals landed in my inbox this morning (well, not literally, but you know what I mean), reminding me that the warmer weather is oh-so-close now and it’s soon going to be time to get my toes out on display again.

If flat sandals ARE your thing, then you could do a lot worse than these ones (which are going for $169). And please, for the love of God, don’t forget to do some work on your feet before you get them out this summer. No one is interested in seeing your cracked, dry winter feet all decked out in fancy shoes.

If you haven’t yet checked out the winter sale at Nine West, I highly recommend doing so ASAP.

The sale offers a minimum of 50% off all winter footwear, with some items marked down by more.

I just wandered into my local store and wandered out 10 minutes later with a pair of these little treats, which are marked down to $59 from $169.

They really are doing wonders in lifting my mood on this gloomy Thursday afternoon. Now I just have to wait for the usual dose of buyer’s remorse that inevitable kicks in around 5 o’clock this afternoon.

The other week, it was 20% off all bags, now Nine West is offering 20% off all boots - just in time for winter.

Yes, boots are an absolute must-have for you wardrobe in the colder months, whether it be ankle, knee-high or both (preferably both).

Plus, the discount is off the marked price, so if you find a pair that is already marked down, you should be able to snap up a bargain. Example: the Harrington style pictured here, which is already reduced to $259. Apply the discount and you’ll walk away with them for $207 - not bad for a pair of leather knee-highs.

Nine West claims it is offering 20% off all bags as a Mother’s Day promo, but in my opinion that’s just an excuse to shop for yourself.

Well, I guess if you’re a really nice person you can buy mum a bag, but the rest of us can hold our heads high in the knowledge that shopping is a purely selfish activity.

The email I received this morning promoting 20% off all Nine West bags for a limited time didn’t mention any conditions, so I’m assuming it also includes bags that are already on sale.

For example, this Kelly large satchel bag is already reduced to $89, and if the discount does apply, it will be down to $71. I quite like the style of bag, it reminds me of Balenciaga.

They say that you’re either a shoe person or a bag person, and while I’m definitely all about the shoes, it’s occurred to me lately that I’ve been neglecting myself in the bag department.

While I have about six billion pairs of shoes that I rarely wear, I have one “everyday” handbag that has copped a beating over the past couple of years and I think it’s time for a new one.

I went into Nine West the other day to check out their sale and while I wasn’t that impressed by any of the shoes, there are some nice bags marked down at the moment.

This pink hobo bag is my favourite of the reduced items and is a nice step away from the usual black bags and accessories you see around. It’s reduced to $99.

I think some sort of higher power is telling me to buy these shoes and I should give in to my impulses.

This morning I was sitting at my desk, minding my own business, when what should come through via email but a Nine West discount voucher for 25% off everything in-store.

It’s valid until November 22, which is this Sunday - all you need to do is print it out and present it at the cash register.

I’m sure it will surprise no one to hear that I’m still mooning over the Miu Miu glitter peep-toe pumps from last week.

So when I spied these Nine West Liatris shoes on the website this morning, it was like Christmas had come early.

They’re not quite as fabulous as the Miu Miu heels, but they’re still fabulous enough for me. And at $159, far more reasonable.

I’m still undecided as to whether maybe they’re a little TOO much? Maybe it’s my inner drag queen emerging, but I can really picture these working, but only if you keep the rest of your outfit black, chic and simple (no over-the-top jewellery).

They also come in black if the multi-coloured spangles are a bit too much for you.

I have never really been big on garishly-coloured bags, but the Rainbow Shoe Show large hobo from Nine West’s new collection is not bad at all.

The rainbow hues would be perfect for the brighter days of spring and summer and it looks to be a decent size for carrying all your junk around in.

The Nine West Rainbow Shoe Show large hobo will be in stores in September and will sell for $129.

Nine West shoes is having a final sale on its winter stock, with all winter shoes reduced by 50% off the original retail price.

Those shoes I bought for $120 just three weeks ago are now marked down to $79.50, but I’ve learned to let that go. (Kind of.) In any case, Nine West has some other nice styles marked down, including the Ladron shoes pictured here, marked down to $74.50. I did try this style on in-store and they are quite lovely, but the pink shoes won out for me in the end.

My other picks in the Nine West sale are the Besana ankle boot, marked down to a very reasonable $89, and the Juliesa dark pink patent slingbacks (down to $69), which would be something different for work.
