Mondays invariably suck but I received a piece of news this morning that cheered me up no end.
One of my favourites, Peeptoe Shoes, is having a massive warehouse sale in Sydney this weekend, with prices starting from $50 for shoes, $25 for bags and $5 for accessories (and Peeptoe sells some really cute jewellery).
But don’t despair, people outside Sydney, because you haven’t been forgotten. The sale continues online next Tuesday, so make sure you head onto the website then to stock up on sexy high heels and other accessories.
Apparently this is going to be the biggest Peeptoe sale event ever, and past sales have been pretty rewarding so this one should be a cracker.
The sale starts this Saturday at 4/190 Bourke Road, Alexandria.

Yes, you read that headline correctly…
Australian online jewellery shop Ella Bleau is holding a special clearance sale for the next five (and a bit) days only… pay what you want for two pairs of earrings.
Of course, you still have to pay for the shipping, which is either $4.95 in Australia or $14.95 internationally. But to me, that’s still a bargain.
You can choose from the classic round diamond earrings in sterling silver pictured here (normally $35) or silver interlock earrings in sterling silver (normally $30). Though at this price, why not get both?

Here’s something cheap and cheerful to finish off a week that has been anything but those two things.
My love of the legendary Panthere de Cartier (AKA Cartier panther) ring grows deeper with each passing year so I’ll always stop and linger over any cocktail rings that are inspired by this masterpiece.
This Diva leopard ring is another contender and it acquits itself quite well for $25.
You can buy it online, or head into your nearest Diva store at lunchtime and have this knuckleduster on your finger in time for after work drinks tonight.

Everyone loves a multitasker and this Marc Jacobs Lola perfume ring is a bit of a powerhouse.
Not only is it a glamorous, over-the-top cocktail ring (I’m in love with the colours), but you can also open the top of it to reveal the solid version of Marc Jacobs’ Lola perfume inside.
As the name suggests, solid perfume is… well… solid perfume. You can rub a little on your finger like balm then distribute on your wrists, neck and wherever else you usually wear your perfume.
This is a far better idea then having to carry a bottle of perfume with you if you think you might need it for a night out. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has broken bottles and ruined bags this way.
The Marc Jacobs Lola perfume ring is available now from Myer, David Jones and selected pharmacies. Its recommended retail price is $65.

Another great sale is happening at the moment for anyone who loves their OTT diamonds and bling but doesn’t have the cash to pony up for the real thing.
Ella Bleau is an Australian online jewellery shop that does costume jewellery versions of the real stuff and the site is having a small online sale at the moment.
Rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets are all included so if no one ever buys you diamonds, I strongly suggest you treat yourself to something a little more affordable.
This cocktail ring is my favourite from the sale - canary diamonds are just gorgeous - and it’s quite reasonably priced at $50.

Not every piece of jewellery you buy has to cost a small fortune - sometimes you need something to spice up a particular outfit and don’t want to spend more than $20 on it.
That’s where Diva jewellery steps in - you’ll rarely pay more than $30 for anything, and better still, if you shop during one of the famous Diva sales you’ll pick some pieces up for as little as $2 and $5.
I just stumbled across these Diva Swirl earrings and they’re really pretty - in fact they remind me of the Samantha Wills Gracie earrings, but at $14.99 they’re literally a fraction of the price (that fraction being 3/10ths).
Plus, I only just realised you can shop online at the Diva website. Handy!

If you’ve always dreamed of owning a FabergĂ© egg, but can barely afford to buy a carton of eggs from the supermarket some days, let alone one of these priceless antiques, then I have a happy medium for you.
These Fabulush egg locket pendants are a far more affordable option, but they still manage to be absolutely gorgeous.
Each pendant is made of sterling silver and decorated with enamel, semi-precious jewels and seed pearls. Plus, they open up so you can store all manner of things inside (all manner of small things, that is).
My favourite from the range is actually the cheapest - love the Pearler pendant in blue, which sells for $199.
Fabulush egg locket pendants are availble online from the Locket Shop.

If you like your gadgets to be cutting-edge and to have a definite “wow” factor, then you’ll love the new LG GD910 3G watch phone.
This gadget may look like a watch, but it’s actually a fully-functional 3G mobile phone - plus some added extras. As you’d expect, this is a touchscreen phone (no hidden keyboards here), so if you have bigger fingers, be warned that you may find the 1.43-inch touchscreen somewhat difficult to navigate. You use this screen to switch between screens (main menu, status, calendar and quick dial) or between eight different clock displays.
LG has also equipped the GD910 3G watch phone with some nice extras, including Bluetooth connectivity, voice commands, a basic organiser and basic MP3 player. There’s also a VGA camera to take still photos, however resolution is quite poor, coming in at under one megapixel. You’ll also find an LG HBM-900 Bluetooth headset in the box, which you can pair with the watch phone to listen to music and make phone calls.
Last but not least, there is also the design to consider. The LG GD910’s looks aren’t anywhere near the class of traditional watches in its price range. That being said, it’s not the shabbiest-looking watch around either. The front of the watch features a stainless steel border plus the back is solid stainless steel. The strap is made of leather and the remaining finishes are fashioned from black plastic.
The LG GD910 3G watch phone is available now in Australian with a recommended retail price of $2299.

A nice extravagant cocktail ring is one of my favourite fashion indulgences and at the moment I am torturing myself by looking at pictures of this CC Skye Blossom ring, which I desperately want but can ill afford.
It’s a beautiful, chunky art-deco cocktail ring that features over a hundred Swarovski crystals individually hand-set on a black enamel and gold detail cone disc. This is a very large ring so it’s definitely not one for anyone who likes their jewellery understated.
I’ve had a look around online and the cheapest place I could find to buy it was at ShopBop.com - you can pick it up in a size 6 or 7 for US$245 (AU$267) plus free international shipping.
Unfortunately I won’t be buying it, but I can always dream.

One of Australia’s favourite jewellery designers, Samantha Wills, is currently hosting an online sale and it’s a beauty.
The Samantha Wills sale offers savings of up to 50% on selected pieces, including bracelets, bangles, earrings, necklaces and rings.
Samantha Wills makes some gorgeous costume jewellery, so if you like your accessories big and flashy (but also classy) then you need to check this sale out.
These Gracie earrings are my favourite of the sale items and they’re reduced to to just $49. They’re making me wish I hadn’t sworn off shopping for the month.
