BIG W is having a massive sale this week, so if you’re looking for some bargains, you should be happy.
Many of the products on sale are for homewares and other items for the home, such as appliances, so this sale is perfect for those of us who turn into homebodies during the winter months.
Winter may not be the time to think about BBQs and entertaining outdoors, but if you like to plan ahead, then this Patio by Jamie Durie QV Grill is a good deal for $174 - or half price.
And don’t forget to check out the rest of the BIG W sale catalogue for some more bargain buys.

The Freedom mid-year sale is on now and it’s great news for anyone who’s planning on staying at home to hibernate over winter.
You’ll find up to 30% off a range of furniture, homewares, blinds and other furnishings in your nearest Freedom store.
The clearance items displayed online are a small selection of what’s available, so you’ll need to head into a store to see the full range.
The sale ends on July 10.

A very special treat for Lasoo members this morning - an exclusive discount code for Aussie shopping site FOUND Boutique.
FOUND Boutique is a handy site that stocks clothing, accessories, jewellery and homewares from some fantastic international and local brands, including CC Skye (LOVE their jewellery), Kitson LA, Sass clothing, Sheridan and more.
I’m loving these Slip silk pillowcases, which are apparently one of the site’s biggest sellers, and here’s why: silk is fantastic to sleep on for both your skin and your hair.
They usually sell for $45, but with your discount you’ll pick one up for $40.
Your FOUND Boutique discount code to get 10% off everything is lasoo.
Plus, if you haven’t entered already, don’t forget about our competition to win a CC SKYE Black Monaco Enamel Deco Bangle, valued at $149.95.

Well, the weather is well and truly awful in Sydney today, so most of us are probably thinking about hibernating for the winter.
For me, that means making sure I have something to keep my feet warm, new pyjamas and plenty of manchester and bedding so I have no reason to leave the house on rainy weekends.
Well, luckily the Spotlight mid-season sale starts tomorrow, so you can stock up on everything you need in the homewares and bedding department.
I spied these wool blankets when flipping through the catalogue this morning and they had the immediate effect of making me wish I was at home on the couch with Foxtel and some comfort food.
They’re reduced to $99 (queen bed), $79 (double bed) and $64 (single bed) - great prices for wool blankets, which are far less irritating to the skin than the cheaper alternatives.

Good news for homewares aficionados this morning - Spotlight is taking 20% off selected manchester until this Sunday.
In fact, all of Spotlight’s quilt covers, plain dyed towels, tablecloths, photo frames, pillows, plain dyed sheets, quilts, underlays, decorator cushions and throws are subject to the discount. You must be a Spotlight VIP to claim the 20% discount, but it’s easy enough (and free) to sign up at the website.
Check out the latest Spotlight catalogue for an idea of what’s on sale here.

I recently discovered Australian online homewares store Whiteport and it’s quickly becoming one of my favourites.
It has some gorgeous products for the bathroom, bedroom, dining room and kitchen - and at some pretty reasonable prices.
Plus, we have an exclusive Lasoo discount code to get 20% off storewide at Whiteport. Use the code BLOG at the checkout to claim your discount (it applies storewide, including sale items). The code is only valid until this Friday so make the most of it while you can!
My favourite item on the site so far is this three-piece Penelope serving set, which is priced at $24.95 but is reduced to $19.95 with the discount code.

I had a funny moment in a Lasoo meeting yesterday morning.
We were sitting around discussing various brands and products that appear on the site when someone mentioned a brand called Ed. Everyone was all “Ed who?” and I actually thought it had something to do with Ed Hardy. It took a couple of minutes (seconds) of mild confusion before it became clear that the brand is actually called “A Brand Called Ed”.
Ok, maybe it isn’t really that funny but for a Monday morning it was mildly amusing for about two seconds before the reality of the day kicked in.
It appears that A Brand Called Ed is a stationery and homewares line that’s available at Officeworks - and it really is very cute, and affordable.
My favourite is the A6 notebook pictured here, which is a bit of a bargain for $7.99. $8 to brighten up your working day is a small price to pay.
You can find Officeworks store locations and Officeworks catalogues here.

EDIT April 12, 2010: For the latest Target homewares sale catalogue, visit the main Lasoo site.
If, like me, you love a good homewares sale, then you’ll be most interested in this week’s Target catalogue.
Yes, the big T is slashing 20-40% off manchester and a big range of homewares this week so it’s a good time to head into a Target store and stock up after the festive season.
I managed to shatter several more wine glasses over Christmas so I’ll need to replenish my supply pretty soon. Luckily boxed glassware and dinnersets are 25% off this week.
Lots of other bargains too - home appliances, clothes, back-to-school stuff and more.
