Samsung Star review

Samsung Star review

The Samsung Star is yet another phone that’s aimed squarely at young mobile phone users who want a stylish but affordable fashion-conscious handset.

It’s a sleek, good-looking phone, measuring in at just under 12mm thick and boasting Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface. You can write in three ways - either using the standard numerical keypad, a virtual QWERTY keyboard or by handwriting with the provided stylus. The Star converts handwritten messages to text for you.

The Samsung Star is also strong on multimedia functionality, which will also appeal to younger users. There’s a 3.2-megapixel camera plus a 3-inch touchscreen, which just like the iPhone can be tipped to change the screen’s orientation from landscape to portrait and back again.

The Samsung Star is available exclusively through Virgin Mobile and carries an Australian recommended retail price of $199.
