Ah, the festive summer season - the most expensive time of the year when it comes to organising new outfits and making it look like you give a rat’s about your appearance.

This is a difficult year for me as I have forced myself to live on a budget when it comes to things I don’t need, so am not really in the position to waste money on new outfits every time I leave the house this party season. I know I should probably be all “don’t worry guys, you can spice up an old outfit with new accessories!” but the truth is I only like going to parties if I have something new to wear so I’ve decided to make things simple and not go anywhere at all this year.

Anyhow, whinging aside, I still like looking at pictures of pretty frocks and thinking about buying them. One that caught my eye this morning is this Hi There from Karen Walker bow-front floral strapless dress, which can be found in the brand new Myer Christmas catalogue.
