Summer finally has its foot in the door and that can only mean one thing - BBQ weather.

What better way to celebrate an Australian summer than by sitting around in your thongs with a stubbie of VB in one hand and a hunk of charcoaled meat in the other? And we Aussies do it like no other.

I recently disposed of an old dinosaur of a barbeque I had because it was approximately the size of the Titanic, with a comparable amount of rust and barnacles. In other words, it was an eyesore sitting on the balcony of my one-bedroom flat. So I’m thinking it might be time to invest in another - and what do you know, this week Target has a Sunbeam electric BBQ on sale for $129. It’s ideal for small areas, such as apartments.

This week’s “Brights or Cool” Target homeware catalogue is actually a really good one, so it’s worth checking out the whole thing for the rest of your home as well.
