Telstra T6 review

Telstra T6 review

Despite its affordable price tag, the Telstra T6 mobile phone doesn’t perform like a budget phone.

Carrying a recommended retail price of just $129, the Telstra T6 is compatible with the Telstra Next G network. It features data download speeds of 3.6Mbps as well as connectivity with Telstra’s online services, such as BigPond Music and TV and more.

The rest of the feature set of the Telstra T6 mobile phone is relatively basic - hardly surprising given the price tag - however the design is another bonus thanks to the mock stainless steel finish and 2-megapixel camera.

Call performance is also good. Audio quality is clear and navigating the T6’s menu is a simple task.

My T6 is a backup to my BlackBerry Bold.
The T6's low-res display and keypad input are not patch on the Blackberry with its clear bright screen (which I can read without reading glasses) and the qwerty keyboard - the T6's low-res display, small font size and keypad input are not patch on the Blackberry but then it was only $120 compared to the BlackBerry's $1,000.
The T6 does have an advantage over the Bold - using the "Join Me" PC software I can send and read messages using the comfort of my PC screen & keyboard, and as I keep over 150 contacts on my phones, entering & editing these are easy too.
(My Bold can export contacts from MS Outlook but with the PC software provided I can't read & send messages from the PC)

    I don't regret buying the T6.
